HOI AN TO HUE DAY TRIP
At 7:30 am, our Hoi An Private Car will pick you up at your hotel/homestay in Hoi An town and we start the Hoi An to Hue Day Trip– Private Tour. Along the way from Hue to Hoi An, we will stop to admire some fabulous landscapes such as Hai Van Pass; Lang Co beach, Lap An Lagoon.
After 3 hours transfer, you will get to Hue city. Our local guide in Hue will meet you up and invite you some Vietnamese coffee.
Khai Dinh Tomb
After the coffee break, we start the Hue City Private Tour. Our first attraction in the Hoi An to Hue day trip is the Khai Dinh Tomb. The beautiful and most expensive royal tomb in Vietnam (the burial area of the 12th emperor of the Nguyen Dynasty).
Our tour guide will tell you a lot of interesting stories about this western emperor, how beautiful in architecture, how expensive it is.
Then, we will have a lovely lunch at a local food restaurant, a great chance to sample all the best specialities in Hue.
Hue Imperial Citadel
After lunch, we start exploring the Hue Imperial Citadel, which is a walled fortress and was built in 1802 by Gia Long Emperor. After access to the Ngo Mon Gate, we will take in the Forbidden Purple City. The Forbidden City was reserved for the Nguyen royal family from 1802 to 1945.
Unfortunately, the American bombing in 1968 in response to a communist takeover of Hue flattened most of the city. As we can see, only a few buildings survived, such as the Thai Hoa palace, Can Thanh palace, The Mieu, and Hieu Lam Cac, but all the remains make a visit well worth visit.
Thien Mu Pagoda
Last but not least in our Hoi An to Hue day trip is the Thien Mu Pagoda. The oldest pagoda in central Vietnam is from 1601. Our tour guide will tell you how special it is and some ancient stories, including a love curse. Here we visit the 7-storey octagonal tower, a symbol of Hue. Afterward, we transfer to your hotel in Hue city or drive back to Hoi An around 6:00 pm.
