CENTRAL VIETNAM HIGHLIGHTS TOUR
Day 1: Danang Arrival – Hoi An (D)
Meet our guide upon arrival at Danang International Airport, then transfer to the hotel in Hoi An for check-in. Have a welcome dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2: Hoi An Walking Tour (B, L)
Start exploring Hoi An Ancient Town. Follow the narrow lanes lined with centuries-old houses influenced by Chinese, Japanese, French, and European architectures.
Most especially, you can visit its numerous places of interest, including the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, the Phuc Kien Assembly Halls, the local fish market, etc.
Moreover, around the town, we can see numerous art galleries and tailor shops. There you can get some made-to-order clothes if you like.
During the tour, you will enjoy a local breakfast and a delicious lunch at a restaurant. Yet, you will have dinner at your own cost. Overnight at Hoi An.
Day 3: Hoi An – Marble Mountains – Hue (B, L)
9:00 AM: Our car and English-speaking tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Hoi An. Then, transport to Da Nang and Hue.
The first stop is the Marble Mountains in Da Nang. Here, you can see some marble factories and see their artworks. We then have a chance to see My Khe Beach (Da Nang). It’s one of the most beautiful and famous beaches in Vietnam.
The next stop is the Cham Sculpture Museum in Da Nang. Here are displayed the exhibitions of the Cham people. The Cham Museum has incomparably the best collection anywhere of Cham materials, mostly sculptures.
Before continuing, you will have lunch at a local restaurant.
After that, we drive 20 km on Sea Cloud Pass – Hai Van Pass. This is one of the highest passes in the country. It’s also one of the most scenic hillside roads in Vietnam.
Sea Cloud Pass is the last spur of the Truong Son Range that reaches the sea. Sightseeing in Vietnam is at its best here, with the succession of valleys and lagoons as the road descends lower.
And our last destination is Lang Co Bay. It lies on the most beautiful curve of the “S”, where you can be the first to see the sunrise in Vietnam. Lang Co Beach attracts visitors with its wild beauty, white sand, and blue sea.
Finally, you check into the hotel in Hue. Free time in Hue City. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4: Hue City Tour 1 Day (B, L)
Hue was once the Imperial capital. It’s now listed as a World Heritage site. Sitting on the banks of the delightful Perfume River, you will find amazing citadels, fabulous palaces, and royal tombs. Many of the sites can be reached by river. This is an excellent way to see the city.
Pick up from the hotel in Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. A boat trip on the romantically named Perfume River visits Hue’s best-known religious sites, Thien Mu Pagoda.
Then, continue to discover Imperial Forbidden Citadel from where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945, including Flag Tower, Noon Gate, Nine Dynastic Urns, Nine Holy Cannons, Thai Hoa Palace, and Forbidden Purple City.
The afternoon continues with a visit to the elaborate tombs of Emperors Minh Mang & Khai Dinh. This guided tour gives you a deep understanding of King’s philosophy of geomancy and how this affected royal life. Tour the end. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 5: Paradise Cave (B, L)
Paradise Cave (Thien Duong Cave) is a newly discovered cave in Quang Binh Province. It belongs to the complex of Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park.
Its length is 31 km. The widest spot is about 150 meters. It brings a fantastic beauty that makes tourists in Vietnam praise.
7:30 AM: Pick up at Hue City. Depart for Paradise Cave in Phong Nha National Park. On the way, the tour guide introduces the Holy Land of La Vang (it is named the Minor Basilica).
Then, we continue passing the Revolutionary Historical place-names such as: Ancient Citadel of Quang Tri, Doc Mieu Revolutionary Base, Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River.
Have Lunch at the restaurant at Xuan Son Town.
We will travel to the Paradise Cave. It’s like “The Pavilion on the Earth,” especially the stalagmites and stalactites system with sparkling, mysterious beauty. It’s out of human beings’ imagination. Its spectacular and magical beauty welcomes visitors to come and enjoy.
Back to Hue at about 19:30. Overnight in the hotel.
Day 6: Hue/Danang – Departure (B)
In the morning, free time for shopping at Dong Ba Market in Hue on your own before transferring to Hue/Danang Airport to take a flight out of Vietnam.
